THE VALLEY — A battle of state-ranked teams at Memorial Stadium takes center stage, while the regular season draws to an end South of the Border with the annual Rusty Rail rivalry game slated for the Lockhart Street Bowl.

FOOTBALL
Chenango Forks at Waverly (7-0), 7 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a 14-7 win at Owego, while the Blue Devils rolled over Whitney Point, 43-14.

Forks enters the contest ranked No. 1 in the state in Class C, while Waverly is ranked fourth in Class B.

Waverly has outscored its opponents by an average of 27.1 to 14 points per game, while Chenango Forks has outscored its foes 31.8 to 9.4 points per game.

Waverly's two-way standout Cooper Robinson will sit out the first half of the game after his ejection last week.

Last year, Waverly dropped a 39-35 decision to Forks in the Class C title game.

Athens (8-1) at Sayre (0-9), 7 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a 41-14 win over Muncy, while the Redskins dropped a 21-14 decision at home to Canton.

Athens is outscoring its opponents this season by an average 47.4 points to 21.9 points per game, while Sayre has been outscored 44.1 to 5.3 points per game.

Athens will start freshman Shea Davidson at quarterback in place of his brother, junior Connor Davidson, who will sit the first game of his two-game suspension following last week's ejection.

Last year, Athens won at home, 51-6.

Greene-Oxford (0-7) at Tioga (6-1): The Tigers, ranked No. 1 in Class D, is coming off a 24-8 win over Trumansburg, while the Trojans dropped a 48-18 decision to Groton.

Tioga is outscoring its opponents by an average of 28.6 to 14.6 points per game, while G-O is allowing more than 40 points per game.
