THE VALLEY — Postseason soccer takes center stage with both Athens teams in action at Balls Mills Soccer Complex, and the Tioga girls traveling to top-seed Trumansburg.

BOYS SOCCER
District 4 Playoffs
Class 3A Semifinals
1-Athens (10-5-2) vs. Shikellamy (6-11-1), 4 p.m. @ Balls Mills Soccer Complex:
The Wildcats are coming off back-to-back 1-0 losses against North Penn-Liberty and Horseheads, while the Braves dropped five straight to end the season, including a 2-0 season-ending loss at Loyalsock.

Athens allowed just seven goals on the season, and all 12 of its wins and ties were shutouts.

GIRLS SOCCER
District 4 Playoffs
Class 3A Semifinals
4-Athens (9-9) vs. Shikellamy (16-2), 6 p.m. @ Balls Mills Soccer Complex:
The Wildcats are coming off a 3-2 loss at Bloomsburg last Saturday, while the Braves dropped a 4-3 decision at Hughesvulle.

Athens has lost six of its last 10, including the last two, while Shik has dropped two in a row after a 16-0 start to the season.

Shik scored at least four goals in its first 14 games this season, and allowed one or less goals 11 times.

Section IV Playoffs
Class C Quarterfinals
8-Tioga (8-7-1) at 1-Trumansburg (13-1-1), 2 p.m.:
The Tigers are coming off a 3-0 win over Marathon in the opening round of the Class C playoffs, while the Blue Raiders have been off since a 2-1 loss to Watkins Glen in the IAC Large School championship game.

CROSS COUNTRY
Waverly at STAC Championships, 11 a.m. @ U-E:
Junior Chase Hine and sophomore Hayden Montanye lead the Wolverines in the league championships.
