ATHENS' HICKS, FISHER NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION BOYS "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"Hicks shot matching 79s for a two-day total of 158 to finish 51st at the PIAA, Class AA Golf Championships.
Hicks carded four birdies on Day 1, and shot 1-under par over the final 10 holes. He had one birdie on Day 2.
Fisher recorded two saves in regulation, but had two saves in the penalty kicks to help Athens to a win over Shikellamy Saturday, and a trip to the District 4, Class 3A soccer championship game.
The night before, Fisher was 7-for-7 on PAT kicks in the Wildcats' 57-0 win over Sayre in the Rusty Rail rivalry game.

ATHENS' VOUGH, WAVERLY'S BELLES NAMED BISHOP BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION GIRLS "ATHLETES OF THE WEEK"Vough finished 12th at the District 4, Class AA Cross Country Championships to punch her ticket to the PIAA Championships.
Vough clocked in at 20:01.3 on the 3.1-mile course, and was the sixth individual qualifier not on the District 4 title team.
Brilynn Bellis led Waverly with 22 digs, including the 1,000th of her career, 14 kills, and two service aces in a five-set loss to Seton Catholic.
Belles followed that up with 12 digs, 21 kills, and two aces in a loss to Chenango Valley.
