THE VALLEY — Athens sophomore Alissa Vough will run at the PIAA Cross Country Championships, and the Waverly girls play for their second Section IV title in as many years.

PIAA, Class AA Championships, 10:15 a.m. @ Hershey: Vough will compete against the best girls from around the Commonwealth in the Class AA championship race.

3-Waverly (7-7-1) vs. 1-Maine-Endwell (11-3), 11 a.m. @ Chenango Valley H.S.: The Wolverines advanced to the Class A title game with a 2-1 win over Chenango Valley, while the top-seeded Spartans blanked Seton Catholic, 4-0.

Waverly topped Chenango Forks in the Class B championship game last year to win the program's first-ever Section IV title.
