Norwich (5-4) at Waverly (8-1), 7 p.m.: The Wolverines are coming off a 33-8 win over Oneonta in the regular-season finale, while the Purple Tornadoes rolled over Susquehanna Valley, 49-6.
Waverly has outscored its opponents this season by an average of 26.2 to 15.2, while Norwich has outscored its opponents by an average of 27.6 to 20.3.
The Wolverines have featured a balanced offense, putting up 275.1 yards per game in total offense — rushing for 151 yards per game, and throwing for 124.
Junior QB Ben Shaw has completed 65.5 percent (74 of 113) of his passes for 1,116 yards and eight TDs, with five interceptions. His top targets are senior Daltton Davis (23 receptions for 477 yards and two TDs), and senior Hogan Shaw (15-126-1).
Senior Cooper Robinson leads Waverly with 788 yards and eight TDs on the ground, and Shaw has 232 yards and seven TDs on 60 carries.
The Purple Tornadoes have a 2-to-1 run-to-pass attack this season, gaining 195.9 yards per game on the ground and 94.8 yards per game on the ground for an average of 290.7 yards in total offense per game.
Norwich freshman QB Cooper Chystie has completed 51.4 percent (56 of 109) of his passes for 850 yards and nine TDs, with just three interceptions. His top targets are senior Kassen Stubbs (22 receptions for 307 yards and two TDs) and his twin brother Carter Christie (20-344-4).
Senior Zach Parker has done the majority of the damage on the ground for Norwich, rushing for 1,268 yards and 18 TDs.
Waverly won the regular-season meeting, 30-18, in Week 2 at Memorial Stadium.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
The winner will face the winner of Saturday's game between Owego and Maine-Endwell next Saturday at Susquehanna Valley H.S. in a 3 p.m. start.
