SECTION IV FIELD HOCKEY: TIOGA'S ENGLEBERT, KITHCART NAMED FIRST-TEAM DIVISIONAL ALL-STARS, SZYMANSKI EARNS SECOND-TEAM NOD (November 21, 2025)

Valley Sports Report
TIOGA CENTER — Tioga seniors Abbie Englebert and Anna Kithcart were named Section IV, Division III first-team field hockey all-stars, and sophomore Cora Szymanski earned a second-team nod in recent voting by the conference's coaches.

FIRST TEAM
Abbie Englebert, senior, Tioga:
A four-year starter for the Tigers, Englebert is "a great midfielder, understands the game very well, is able to read plays and has great off-ball movement," said Tioga coach Aubrey Worthing.

Anna Kithcart, senior, Tioga: An "outstanding defender, (Anna) communicates very well, is a leader in the backfield, and is able to stop defenders on breakaways because of good footwork and containment," said Worthing.

SECOND TEAM
Cora Szymanski, sophomore, Tioga:
A heady player, Szymanski is a "young player with a lot of potential, who works very hard in the offseason and attends a lot of camps. She can see space well and read open lanes, and is great with a jab that slows defenders down to allows her team time to recover."
