THE VALLEY — The Athens swim teams open the dual season at home, while the other three teams in action are on the road, including the Waverly boys opening the basketball season at Chenango Valley.

WRESTLING
Athens (1-0) at Williamson (0-0), 7 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a 63-0 season-opening dual win over Wellsboro, while the Warriors open the 2025-26 season on the mats.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Sayre (0-2) at Towanda (1-0), 6 p.m. JV start: The Redskins are coming off a 74-17 loss to Montoursville Saturday in the consolation game of the Mifflinburg Tip-Off Tournament, while the Black Knights rolled over Montrose, 55-27.

Waverly at Chenango Valley, 5:30 p.m. JV start: The Wolverines and Warriors open the 2025-26 season tonight. Waverly is coming off a 13-10 season that ended with a loss to Dryden in the Section IV, Class B championship game, while CV was 11-10.

BOYS & GIRLS SWIMMING
Tunkhannock at Athens, 4:30 p.m.: The Wildcats open the duals season after strong performances at the Blue Jay First Chance Invite over the weekend.

BOYS & GIRLS BOWLING
Tioga at Lansing, 3:30 p.m.
