NTL SWIMMING: THOMPSON, PANEK PACE ATHENS' EFFORTS AGAINST TUNKHANNOCK (December 9, 2025)
Valley Sports ReportATHENS — Senior Olivia Thompson won four events, and senior Evelyn Panek was a triple-winner to pace Athens' efforts against Tunkhannock in a non-scoring girls swim meet, while junior Brayden Pettitt logged the Wildcats' only two wins against the powerhouse Tigers.
GIRLSThompson won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 27.55 seconds, and junior Alana Reyes was third in 33.49 seconds.
Thompson also won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:12.22, and Panek was second in 1:15.99.
Thompson, senior Elizabeth Denlinger, Panek and junior Kaitlyn Leonard teamed to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:03.9. The same foursome won the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:50.81.
Panek won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:00.74, and senior Kayla Marshall was third in 1:09.67.
Senior Madeline Henderson logged Athens' only other win, taking home the 100-yard breaststroke in a time 1:30.61.
Denlinger finished second in the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:35.97, and Henderson was third in 2:53.2.
Denlinger was also second in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:15.87, and Leonard was third in 1:22.47.
Senior Penelope Grubb finished second in the 1-meter diving competition with a six-dive score of 145.35 points.
Sophomore Brooke Lyon finished third in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:41.63.
BOYSPettitt won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:00.1, and senior Ty Lezak was third in 2:34.34.
Pettitt also won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:00.57, and Lezak was third in 1:12.99.
Junior Eli Hicks was second in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.09 seconds. Hicks also placed second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 51.05 seconds.
Junior Dominic Musick finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:03.65. Musick also finished second in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:13.11.
