THE VALLEY — Thursday is another light night of action on the high school sports docket, with the Tioga bowling teams the only home events, while the Tioga girls travel to take on IAC Small School hoop rival S-VE.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Johnson City Tip-Off Tournament
Athens (1-0) vs. Norwich (2-0), 5:30 p.m.: The Wildcats are coming off a 60-19 win over Williamson Monday, while the Purple Tornadoes topped Susquehanna Valley, 60-45 Tuesday.

Johnson City (0-2) hosts Newfield (0-0) in the other opening-round game at 7:15 p.m.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Tioga (0-2) at S-VE (0-3), 6 p.m. (Varsity only): The Tigers are coming off a 61-32 loss to Candor in the consolation game of the Sibley Tournament Saturday, while the Panthers dropped a 50-36 decision at Harpursville.

BOYS & GIRLS BOWLING
Union Springs at Tioga, 3:30 p.m. @ VBC
