IAC GIRLS BASKETBALL: S-VE PULLS AWAY LATE IN 34-21 WIN OVER TIOGA (21 PHOTOS) (December 11, 2025)

SPENCER — Tioga kept the game close for three quarters, but S-VE used a strong fourth quarter to clinch a 34-21 win over Tioga here Thursday night in IAC South Small School girls basketball win.

Lauren Gillette scored eight points in the first quarter, and Maddie Ellison added four points to fuel S-VE's 12-5 game-opening run.

Freshman Irie Lynch scored five points in the second quarter, including a 3-pointer, as Tioga outscored S-VE, 9-8, to close the gap to 20-14 at the halftime break.

Lydiah Decker knocked down a 3-pointer, and Lynch scored three more points in a third quarter that saw Tioga edge, 6-4, to trim the S-VE lead to 24-18 entering the final eight minutes.

Kaidence Root and Gillette scored four points apiece as the Panthers put the game away with a 10-3 run.

Lynch led Tioga with 16 points, including a trio of 3-pointers.

Gillette led S-VE with 16 points and eight rebounds, while Trinity Dashler had six points, seven rebounds, and three steals, and Root had six points and three boards.

Ellison scored six points in the win, while Amani Diboun hauled down seven boards and had three assists and three steals, and Kaylee Kastenhuber added four rebounds and two assists.

Tioga, now 0-3, returns to action Tuesday at O-M, while S-VE (1-3) is at Southern Cayuga.
