NTL WRESTLING: WYALUSING KNOCKS OFF ATHENS, 41-32 (24 PHOTOS) (December 12, 2025)

ATHENS — After issuing a forfeit to open the match, Wyalusing reeled off six straight wins, including four via fall, on its way to a 41-32 win over Athens here Friday night in NTL wrestling action.

Freshman Chace VanDyke received a forfeit for the Wildcats at 107, but Logan Wood started the Ram's run at 114 with a technical fall, and Austin Jones received a forfeit at 121 to give Wyalusing an 11-6 lead.

Consecutive first-period falls by Isaiah Harvey and Bostyn McMicken, followed by back-to-back third-period pins by Cole Patrick and Griffin Sheldon from the 127-pound weight class through the 145-pound weight class extended the lead to 35-6.

Sophomore Treyton Barrett stopped the bleeding for the Wildcats at 152 pounds with a 21-6 technical fall of Reuben Kinney in 3:04 to close the gap at 35-11.

Jonathan Earle sewed up the win for the Rams with a pin of senior Ryan Howard in 1:50.

The Wildcats closed out the match with four consecutive wins.

After a technical fall by senior Karson Sipley at 172 pounds, junior Connor Davidson (189) and senior Brenden Comstock (285) registered first-period falls, sandwiched around a 16-4 major decision by junior Brendan Cooke over Daniel Fox at 215.

Athens, now 1-2, returns to action Thursday at NEB.
