IAC WRESTLING: McKEE LEADS TIOGA'S SMALL CONTINGENT AT 'WRANGLE ON THE PLAINS" (December 13, 2025)
Valley Sports ReportHALFMOON, N.Y. — Defending state champ junior Declan McKee finished third in his weight class to pace Tioga's five-man contingent here Saturday at the rugged "Wrangle on the Plain" at the Impact Athletic Center.
"It was a good weekend," said Tioga coach Kris Harrington. "I thought the kids wrestled pretty tough today.
"Declan (McKee) lost to a Prep All-American in the pool finals.
"I'm really happy with Drayke (Ulrich)," added Harrington. "He was in a tough bracket and beat some good kids."
McKee placed third in the 118-pound "A" bracket with a 3-1 mark on the day.
He scored a 44-second fall over John Jay's David Corrales, and a 15-0 technical fall in 2:39 over Mount Anthony's Sylas Race in his first two bouts.
McKee ran his record to 3-0 with a 3-0 decision over Wyoming Seminary's Ryan Haynes. His only loss was a 10-3 decision against Germantown Academy's Max German.
Ulrich was 2-2 to finish fifth in the 103-pound "A" bracket. He logged a 10-2 major decision over Boradalbin-Perth's Brennon Eagan, and a 13-3 major decision over Island Trees' Ioannis Papadatos.
Corby was 2-1 to finish second in the "B" bracket. He scored a 59-second fall of Hudson Falls' Noah Labrum, and a pin of Albany's Maria Khetab in 1:22.
His lone setback was a 10-5 decision against Fox Lane's Joseph D'Alisa.
Black was 2-1 to finish third in the "B" bracket. He won a 21-5 technical fall in 3:44 over Guilderland's Jack Colloton, and received a medical forfeit for his second win. His lone setback was a first-period fall to Monroe-Woodbury's Will Towns.
Freshman Parker Jackson was 0-3 in the 118-pound "B" bracket.
Tioga returns to action this week with duals at Groton Wednesday, and at home against Trumansburg Thursday.
