STAC BOWLING: WAVERLY GIRLS SWEEP CV; BOYS LOSE THREE CLOSE GAME IN 5-0 SETBACK (December 15, 2025)
Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY — Rylie Witman and Karis Hayes led the Waverly girls to a sweep of STAC Central Division bowling rival Chenango Valley, while the boys lost three close games in a 5-0 loss to the Warriors here Monday at the Valley Bowling Center.
GIRLS
Waverly 5, Chenango Valley 0Witman rolled a 597, including a high game of 213, and Hayes shot a 579, including a 220, to lead the Wolverines to a 5-0 win over Chenango Valley.
Waverly won the first game by a scored of 795-710, then posted wins of 793-676, and 950-709 for a two-point total-pinfall victory of 2,538 to 2,095.
Abby Herceg led CV with a 579, and Bella Rose Nelson added a 425.
BOYS
Chenango Valley 5, Waverly 0Chenango won three close games — by 42, 9 and 24 pins — for a total-pinfall win of 2,977 to 2,902 pins.
Derek Johnson led the Wolverines with a 630 series on games of 225, 180 and 225, and Colten Santalucia rolled a 606 on games of 236, 229, and 141.
Maison Apgar and Tristan Campbell both shot 587 series, while Trevor Allen shots games of 202 and 159, and Griff Walter chipped in with a 161 game.
Nate Adams rolled a match-high 704 series on games of 233, 238 and 233.
Waverly returns to action Jan. 7 when it hosts Owego Free Academy.
