H.S. GIRLS WRESTLING: WAVERLY EDGES WINDSOR, 33-30 (December 18, 2025)

WINDSOR — Waverly won four of the seven contested weight classes, and pulled out a 33-30 win over Windsor here Thursday night in Section IV girls wrestling action.

Of Waverly's four wins — two came by technical and two were by fall, including a 53-second pin by Elona Holmes in the 235-pound match-up.

Gianna Zieniuk also scored a fall over Ana Cartagena in 3:49 in the 152-pound match-up.

Gianna Rylott (114 pounds) and Abi Reedy (165) each scored 10-0 technical falls.

Aniyah Rought (100), Natasha Lane (138) and Stephanie Furlong (185) received forfeits for the Wolverines.

Waverly issued forfeits at 94, 107, and 120 pounds.

The Wolverines return to action Saturday morning at Chenango Forks.
