STAC JV GIRLS BASKETBALL: WAVERLY ROLLS OVER WINDSOR, 71-16 (December 21, 2025)

WAVERLY — Waverly built a quick double-digit lead, and cruised to a 71-16 rout of Windsor in a UNICO Showcase game here Saturday afternoon in STAC junior varsity girls basketball action.

Sophia Dorsey and Taylin Gonzalez scored four points apiece to pace Waverly's 14-1 game-opening run.

Mya Wheeler scored six points in the second quarter, and Kezlyn DeKay added four points to fuel a 20-8 run by the Wolverines that pushed their advantage to 34-9 at the halftime intermission.

DeKay scored seven points in the third quarter, and Paige Bubniak added a 3-pointer in a 16-7 spurt that gave Waverly a 50-16 lead heading into the final eight minutes.

Sydney Donovan pumped in 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, in the fourth quarter, and DeKay canned a 3-pointer in a 21-0 game-closing blitz for the Wolverines.

Donovan and DeKay scored 15 points apiece to lead Waverly, while Wheeler scored 10 points, and Gonzalez had eight points.

Dorsey and Raygane Oakes scored six points apiece in the win, and Isabella McEwen and Addison Foster added four points apiece.
