Kittle's third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle at States is the best individual finish for a Waverly girl in program history.
She also placed fifth in the 100-yard backstroke, swam a personal-best split of 22.93 seconds in the 50 free as part of the 200-yard medley relay that also placed fifth at the state meet.
Kittle finished her high school career with 10 state medals — a program record. She swam 13 events in four years at the state meet.
Kittle will graduate as the program record-holder in the 50 and 100 freestyle events, the 100 backstroke, and the 100 butterfly. She is also the record-holder in the six-dive, 1-meter diving event, as well as being part of all three relay record foursomes.
Kittle was also a part of all three — the 200 medley, and the 200 and 400 freestyle — relay record-holders.
Worth noting, swimming is the only remaining sport in New York State that all its participants competing in one division.

Rylee Lantz, senior, Sayre volleyball: Lantz was the heart-and-soul of a Sayre team that won the program's first-ever District 4 title, and also went on to collect the first state playoff win in school history.
Lantz, who was a setter last year, registered a team-high 211 kills and 35 blocks on the season, to go along with 37 service aces, 53 digs, and eight setter assists.
Alissa Vough, sophomore, Athens cross country: Vough led Athens consistently during the duals season, and had four top-10 finishes at invitationals, including a second-place finish at the McDaniel-Baxter Invite at Chenango Valley High School.
Vough finished 12th at the District 4, Class AA Championships to punch her ticket to States, where she finished 72nd.
Grace Howey, freshman, Tioga girls soccer: Howey, who is not afraid of physicality, has a sky-high soccer IQ.
Howey, who is just as fast with the ball at her feet as she is without, scored 16 goals and dished out 12 assists.
Lauryn Welles, sophomore, Waverly swimming: A consistent point-getter for the Wolverines during their unbeaten duals season, Welles qualified for States in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle sprints.
She also swam on the 200-yard freestyle relay team that won a seventh-place medal at States, and the 400-yard freestyle relay that won a Section IV, Class B gold medal.
Ellie Mosher, sophomore, Athens volleyball: Mosher, a hitting machine, led the Wildcats with 285 kills, on a kill rate of 33.2 percent, and a hit rate of 23.4 percent.
Mosher also had 132 service points, including 48 aces, 203 digs, 301 serve-receives and five setter assists.
