SECTION IV WINTER TRACK: CRON POSTS WAVERLY'S ONLY TOP-10 FINISH AT QUINNEY INVITE (21 PHOTOS) (January 3, 2026)

ITHACA — Senior Madison Cron, freshman Anna Fassett, junior Taylor Sinsabaugh, and sophomore Jaxon Chandler posted the best finishes of the day here Saturday afternoon at the Quinney Indoor Track & Field Invitational at Cornell University.

GIRLS
Cron posted the only top-10 finish of the day for the Wolverines, placing  ninth in the weight throw with a heave of 23-feet, 10 /14-inches, while Fassett was 12th at 22-feet, 8 1/2-inches

Sinsabaugh finished 13th in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 14:35.19.

The foursome of sophomores Gianna Soprano, Miah Correll, Tressa Allen, and Fassett finished 13th in the 800-meter relay in a time of 2:08.76.

Soprano was 18th in the 300-meter dash in a time of 47.53 seconds.

Senior Mackenzie Chamberlain was 19th in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 6:01.91, and sophomore Miah Correll was 23rd in 6:11.14.

BOYS
Jaxon Chandler was 14th in the high jump at 5-feet, 3-inches, and freshman Wyatt Chandler was 20th at 4-feet, 9-inches.

Junior Jayden Washington was 17th in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:14.32.

Senior Aiden Doherty finished 14th in the weight throw with a toss of 32-feet, 10 1/4-inches. He was 20th in the shot put with a heave of 34-feet, 10-inches.

Senior Hayden Howe was 21st in the 600-meter run in a time of 1:39.03.

Sophomore Connor Bentley finished 24th in the 300-meter dash in 41.49 seconds.
