IAC WRESTLING: TIOGA ADVANCES THREE TO SEMIS, FIVE MORE IN WRESTLEBACKS AT SOUTHERN TIER MEMORIAL (24 PHOTOS) (January 9, 2026)

ELMIRA — Tioga advanced three wrestlers — junior Declan McKee, senior Jayden Duncanson and sophomore Drayke Ulrich — to Saturday morning's semifinals at the third annual Southern Tier Memorial, while five of their teammates remain in action in the consolation bracket here at the LeCom Events Center.

Still alive in wrestlebacks for the Tigers are seniors Kaden Cole and Logan Bellis, junior Caden Bradley, sophomore Mark McCane, and freshman Parker Jackson.

Tioga is in fifth place in the 38-team field after Day 1 with 86 points. Bellefonte Area leads the team chase with 119.5 points, while Waverly is second with 113 points, Penns Valley is third with 101.5 points, and Milton is fourth with 86.5 points.

McKee, the top seed, was 3-0 — a technical fall and two first-period pins — to reach the semifinals of the 110-pound bracket.

McKee decked Tottenville's Russell Moran in 36 seconds in opening round, then forged a 17-1 technical fall of West Genesee's Nico Bresadola.

In the quarterfinals, McKee pinned South Seneca's Harley Wilkins in 58 seconds.

Ulrich, the fourth seed, was 3-0 — all via fall — to reach the semifinals of the 103-pound bracket.

He opened his a pin of Horseheads' Nolan Miller in 3:46, then pinned Easton Willett of Letchworth in 1:44 in the round-of-16.

In the quarterfinals, Ulrich pinned Wyoming Area's Tyler Randazzo at the first-period horn.

Duncanson, the top seed, was 4-0, including three falls and a major decision, to reach the 138-pound bracket semifinals.

Duncanson cinched a cradle in for a 79-second pin of Brooke Larson in the opening round, then hit another cradle for a 39-second fall of BGAH's Glenn Miller in the round-of-32.

In the round-of-16, Duncanson forged a 10-0 major decision over Elmira's Scott Fairbanks to advance to the quarterfinals, where he decked SVEC's Kamren Westbrook in 43 seconds.

Cole was 2-1 in the 126-pound bracket, dropping a 12-8 decision to Waverly's Rhylee Stotler in the quarterfinals.

Cole opened with a 39-second pin of Lebron Chilson of Dundee, then pinned Chenango Forks' Keaton MacRabie in 1:36 in the round-of-16.

Bellis was 3-1 in the 118-pound bracket. He opened with a 17-0 technical fall of Milton's Bryson Walter, but dropped a 9-5 decision to Brookville's Isaac Castellan in the round-of-16.

Bellis bounced back with a 15-0 technical fall of Chenango Forks' Maddox Hubbard, and a 16-0 technical fall of Corning's Daniel Bretch in his first two consolation brackets.

McCane was 2-1 in the 285-pound bracket. McCane pinned Upper Dauphin's Carter Morgan in 2:39 in the opening round.

In the round-of-16, McCane won a 4-3 decision over Dundee's Ryan Smith.

In the quarterfinals, McCane lost via fall in 1:42 to top-seeded Troy Beeman of Waverly.

Freshman Parker Jackson was 2-1 in the 110-pound bracket.

Jackson pinned seventh-seeded Craig Monda of Tottenville in 3:45 in the opening round, then decked Corning's Shane Harlacker in 2:11 in the round-of-16.

In the quarterfinals, Jackson lost via first-period fall to Edison's second-seeded Mason Vanderhoof.

Bradley was 2-1 in the 144-pound bracket. After losing his first bout via fall, Bradley pinned Corning's Blake Teeter in 5:00, and Schuyler's Daniel Coston in 3:17 in the consolation bracket.

Junior James Howey was 1-2 in the 190-pound bracket, with his lone win a pin of Canandaigua Academy's Nikolaj Ortloff in 3:58 in the first round of the consolation bracket.

Junior Aiden Black was 1-2 in the 16-pound bracket, winning his opening-round match via fall in 5:51 over Groton's Max Bishop.

Freshman Liamm Comstock was 1-2 in the 118-pound bracket, scoring a 16-0 technical fall of Wyoming Area's Emerson Langdon in his first wrestleback match.

Freshman Harold Corby was 1-2 in the 103-pound bracket, with his lone win a pin of Letchworth's Zeek Bailey-Dey in 2:20 in the opening round of wrestlebacks. In his first bout of the day, Corby fell behind 7-0 in the opening minute in a 13-12 loss to Corning's Carter Soltis.

Sophomore Jamie Woodcock was 0-2 at 190 pounds, senior Max Paugh was 0-2 at 285, 8th-grader Tyler Haskins was 0-2 at 132 pounds, and 8th-grader Carson LaBour was 0-2 at 175 pounds.

Action resumes Saturday at 9 a.m.
