WINTER TRACK & FIELD: ALBRECHT WINS ONE EVENT, RUNNER-UP IN ANOTHER AT WINTER CLASSIC (January 10, 2026)

CORTLAND — Tioga senior Gavin Albrecht had a first-place and a second-place finish Saturday in the 2 p.m. session at the Winter Track & Field Classic at SUNY Cortland.

Albrecht won the pole vault, clearing the bar at 14-feet, 6-inches — two feet higher than runner-up Zappy Moss of Ithaca.

He placed second in the 55-meter dash in a time of 6.74 seconds, just 0.04 seconds off the pace of U-E's Amar Mujic.
