IAC WRESTLING: TIOGA ROLLS TO WINS OVER MORAVIA, HORSEHEADS (24 PHOTOS) (January 14, 2026)

TIOGA CENTER — State-ranked Tioga rolled to wins over Moravia and Horseheads here Wednesday night to improve to 5-0 on the season in high school wrestling action.

The Tigers, ranked second in Division 2 in New York State, beat IAC rival Moravia, 70-12, and then beat non-league foe Horseheads, 41-26.

Tioga 70, Moravia 12
Tioga won the first eight weight classes, including four first-period falls and two first-period technical falls, on its way to a 70-12 win over Moravia.
 
Sophomore Drayke Ulrich wrestled the longest bout in the match, pinning Dodge McPherson in 3:03 at 1:03 pounds to give the Tigers a 6-0 lead.

Freshman Parker Jackson scored a fall in 1:33, and junior Declan McKee registered the fastest pin in the match, decking Tucker Minnoe in 43 seconds to make it 18-0.

Senior Logan Bellis scored an 18-1 technical fall of Clayton Wells in 1:56 at 126 pounds, and senior Kadin Cole needed just 1:16 to register a 15-0 technical fall of Jacob Enders at 138 pounds to make it 34-0 Tioga.

The technical falls were sandwiched around a forfeit to freshman Liamm Comstock at 132 pounds.

Senior Jayden Duncanson and junior Caden Bradley finished off Tioga's run with pins in 1:37 and 58 seconds, respectively, at 144 and 150 pounds to make it 46-0.

After the teams exchanged forfeits at 157 and 165 pound, Anthony Enders picked up the Blue Devils' lone win on the mat with a second-period pin at 175 pounds to close the gap to 52-12.

The Tigers closed out the match with first-period pins by junior James Howey, sophomore Jamie Woodcock, and senior Max Paugh.

Tioga 41, Horseheads 26
Tioga won four bouts in a row midway through the match to open up a commanding lead on its way to a 41-26 win over Horseheads.

Sophomore Drayke Ulrich gave Tioga an early 6-0 lead with a pin of Nolan Miller in 3:14 at 103, but Connor McAllister answered for the Blue Raiders with a major decision to close the gap to 6-4.

Junior Declan McKee got the Tigers back on track with an 11-1 major decision over Josh Knapp, and senior Logan Bellis scored a 15-0 technical fall of Tanner Knapp in 5:33 to put Tioga ahead 15-4.

After a Horseheads pin at 132 pounds, senior Kadin Cole pinned Damian Saks in 2:40 at 138 pounds, and senior Jayden Duncanson had the quickest pin of the night, decking Kole Zufall in 23 seconds at 144 pounds to give the Tigers a 27-10 lead.

Junior Caden Bradley kept it rolling at 157 pounds (there was no match at 150) with a pin of Wyatt Campbell in 42 seconds to extend the lead to 33-10.

Junior Aiden Black finished off Tioga's run with a 4-0 decision over Aziz Gafsi at 165 pounds to give the Tigers an insurmountable 36-10 lead with four weight classes remaining.

Horseheads won three of the final four bouts, with junior James Howey adding an 18-3 technical fall of James Tousey in 3:37 at 190 pounds.

Tioga travels to face Waverly, the top-ranked Division 2 in the state, Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
