CONKLIN, N.Y. — Senior Derek Johnson led four Waverly bowlers with 600 series in a sweep of Susquehanna Valley Wednesday afternoon, while the Lady Wolverines pulled out a 3-2 decision here in STAC bowling action at Midway Lanes.

BOYS
Waverly 5, Sus. Valley 0

Waverly won the first game 1,041-867, then followed it up with wins of 1,081-915, and 1,023-940 for a total-pinfall victory of 3,145 to 2,722.

Johnson rolled a 683 series on games of 279, 210, and 194, while freshman Colten Santalucia shot a 656 series on games of 202, 228, and 226, and senior Maison Apgar had a 636 on games of 180, 229, and 227.

Senior Tristan Campbell added a 604 series on games of 221, 186, and 197, while Trevor Allen rolled games of 228 and 179, and sophomore Griff Walter tacked on a 159 game.

Wesley Peterson led SV with a 615 series.

GIRLS
Waverly 3, Sus. Valley 2

Waverly won the first game 815-697, but Susquehanna Valley bounced back to win the next two by scores of 843-828 and 768-717. The Wolverines held on for the two-point total-victory decision by a count of 2,360 to 2,308.

Ariel Houseknecht led Waverly with a 598 series, including games of 203 and 215, and Emmalynn Vanderpool shot a 499.

Aby Apgar had a 448 for the Wolverines, while Karis Hayes had a 409, Emily Houseknecht added a two-game total of 291, and Aubrey Hakes tacked on a 115 game.

Allicyn Bisuhd led the Sabers with a 652 series.

Waverly returns to action Jan. 29 at Chenango Valley.
