IAC BOWLING: TIOGA GIRLS SWEEP LANSING; TIOGA BOYS HOLD ON FOR 3-1 WIN (January 22, 2026)

WAVERLY — Liberty Magner threw a big series to lead the Tioga girls to a sweep of Lansing Thursday, while Charles Holmes and Nick Slater each rolled 600 series to pace the Tigers in a 3-1 win in IAC bowling action here at the Valley Bowling Center.

GIRLS
Tioga 4, Lansing 0

Magner rolled a 574 series, including gams of 212 and 211, while Kelsey Helmich shot a 525, and Sabrina Ellis had a 503.

The Tigers won each game by at least 143 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,427 to 1815.

Kate Bleiler added a 413 for Tioga in the win, and Kelsey Ellis tacked on a 412.

Sienna Wright led Lansing with a 404 series.

BOYS
Tioga 3, Lansing 1

The Tigers won the first game 1,025-784, but the Bobcats bounced back with a 1,031-933 win in the second game. Tioga edged out Lansing 999-996 in the third game for a total-pinfall win of 2,957 to 2,811.

Holmes rolled a 667 series on games of 258, 196, and 213, and Slater shot 621 on games of 202, 183, and 236.

Markel Watkins shot a 592, including a 226, for Tioga in the win, while Kris Swagger had a 584, including a pair of 204 games, Austin Mumbulo added a 469, and Aaron Belles tacked on a 441.

Nicco Binns led Lansing with a 650 series.

Tioga returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Union Springs.
