NTL WRESTLING: SAYRE'S BROWN ALIVE IN WRESTLEBACKS HEADING INTO DAY 2 OF THOMAS WRESTLING CLASSIC (January 23, 2026)
Valley Sports ReportBEDFORD, Pa. — Sayre junior Jordan Brown is alive in the consolation bracket heading into Day 2 of the Thomas Automotive Wrestling Classic here at Bedford High School.
Brown scored a 20-3 technical fall win over Pine Grove's Logan Troup in the opening round of the 172-pound bracket. He led 16-3 after the first period.
In the round-of-16, Brown pinned Chestnut Ridge's Tristan Casey in 1:57.
In the quarterfinals, Brown lost via 19-3 technical fall to Line Mountain's Nolan Savage.
Brown will square off with Clearfield's Tim Taylor in the fourth round of the consolation bracket Saturday morning.
Freshman Amicio Lamanna was 0-2 at 121 pounds.
Action begins at 9 a.m.
