IAC BOYS BASKETBALL: RED-HOT CANDOR ROLLS OVER TIOGA (January 27, 2026)Valley Sports ReportTIOGA CENTER — Candor took control in the second quarter, and cruised to a 93-24 win over Tioga here Tuesday night in IAC South Small School boys basketball action.
It's the third consecutive game Candor has scored more than 90 points. The Coyotes scored 102 and 98 points in its last two games.
Senior Dominic Palmer scored seven points in the first quarter for the Tigers, but Candor led 18-11 at the end of the opening stanza.
The rest of the game was all Coyotes.
Candor opened its lead up to 41-15 at the half with a 23-4 second-quarter blitz.
In the second half, Candor outscored Tioga 27-7 in the third quarter, and 25-2 in the fourth quarter.
Junior Gavin Kithcart had nine points, 10 rebounds, and two assists, and Palmer scored nine points and grabbed 11 boards to lead Tioga.
Junior Jackson Bombard added four points and three boards, while Jonah Palmer grabbed six boards and dished out two assists, and Brady Landmesser chipped in with three boards.
Jakobe Foster led Candor with 25 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, while Donald Makie scored 24 points, with four 3-pointers, Teagan Kwiatkowski added 19 points, with five 3-pointers, and Matthew Smith chipped in with 13 points, including three 3-pointers.
In all, Candor knocked down 17 3-pointers.
