IAC BOWLING: TIOGA'S HELMICH ROLLS 600 SERIES; GIRLS, BOYS BOTH SWEEP UNION SPRINGS (January 27, 2026)
Valley Sports ReportWAVERLY — Kelsey Helmich rolled a 600 series to lead the Tioga girls to a sweep of short-handed Union Springs, and the Tioga boys used a balanced line-up in a 4-0 win here Tuesday afternoon in IAC bowling action at the Valley Bowling Center.
GIRLS
Tioga 4, Union Springs 0Helmich rolled a 607 series on games of 205, 171, and 231 to lead the Tigers, while Liberty Magner shot a 536, including a 206, and Kelsey Ellis had a 524 series.
Sabrina Ellis added a 416 series in the sweep, and Katie Bleiler tacked on a 396.
BOYS
Tioga 4, Union Springs 0Tioga won every game by at least 195 pins in a total-pinfall win of 2,738 to 1,887.
Nick Slater led Tioga with a 599 series, including games of 211 and 212, while Aaron Belles shot a 528, including a 223, and Kris Swagger had a 527, including a 203.
Charles Holmes shot a 526 in the sweep, while Markel Watkins added a 520, including a 206, and Austin Mumbulo tacked on a 424.
Tioga returns to action next Tuesday when it hosts O-M.
