IAC WRESTLING: TIOGA CLOSES OUT REGULAR SEASON WITH 68-6 WIN OVER MARATHON (January 28, 2026)

MARATHON — Tioga won seven of the eight contested weights, and recorded five pins and one technical fall in a 68-6 win over Marathon in IAC wrestling action here Wednesday night.

Tioga closes out the regular season with a 9-0 and will return to action Saturday morning at the New York State, Division 2 Duals at the SRC Arena in Syracuse.

Freshman Harold Corby and sophomore Drayke Ulrich gave the Tigers a quick 12-0 lead with pins at 103 and 110, respectively. Corby scored a pin of Henry Donah in 2:20, and Ulrich decked Zander Gleason in 1:25.

After a forfeit to freshman Parker Jackson at 118 pounds, freshman Liamm Comstock scored a 19-3 technical fall over Christopher Brickner in 5:00 at 126 pounds to give the Tigers a 23-0 lead.

Senior Kadin Cole kept it rolling with a 54-second pin at 132 pounds, and senior Jayden Duncanson scored the fastest fall of the season for the Tigers, needing just 9 seconds in his 144-pound bout.

Their wins came sandwiched around a forfeit to 8th-grader Tyler Haskins at 138 pounds.

Forfeits to junior Caden Bradley at 150, senior Aiden Black at 165, and 8th-grader Carson LaBour at 175 pounds extend the Tioga lead to 59-0.

Junior James Howey won the only match to go a full six minutes, taking a 7-1 decision over Caleb VanDee at 190 pounds to give Tioga a 62-0 lead.

The Olympians avoided the shutout with a pin by Brian DeForest at 215 pounds.

Sophomore Mark McCane closed out the night for the Tigers with a pin of Carson Fox in 56 seconds in the 285-pound bout.
