SECTION IV WRESTLING: TIOGA COUNTY SCHOOLS TO HOST DIVISION II QUALIFIERS (January 29, 2026)

TIOGA COUNTY — Tioga County will play host to the Section IV Division II wrestling qualifiers Feb. 7. Waverly will host Qualifier A and Newark Valley will host Qualifier B.

Along with Waverly, 12 of the section’s 25 D-2 teams will compete in Qualifier A. They include Owego, Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville, Deposit/Hancock, Dryden, Edison, Groton, Norwich, Schuyler, Susquehanna Valley, Trumansburg, Unatego/Unadilla Valley/Franklin and Windsor.

In addition to NV, the other Qualifier B participants are Spencer-Van Etten/Candor, Tioga, Chenango Valley, Lansing, Marathon, Moravia, Oneonta, Oxford/Greene, Sidney, Walton/Delaware Academy and Whitney Point.

The Wolverines are favored to win the Qualifier A title while Tioga is the top pick in Qualifier B.

The action is slated to begin at 10 a.m. at both sites.
