NTL GIRLS WRESTLING: BROWN, STAMILE PACE SAYRE'S EFFORTS AT UPPER DAUPHIN TOURNAMENT (January 31, 2026)
Valley Sports ReportPLYMOUTH, Pa. — Senior Mikyah Brown placed fourth and freshman Isabella Stamile finished sixth to pace Sayre here Sunday at the Lady Trojan Girls Wrestling Invitational here at Upper Dauphin Area High School.
Brown was 2-2 to finish fourth in the 170-pound weight class.
Brown opened with an 11-8 sudden-victory win over Easton's Celeste Gildenhuys in the quarterfinals.
In the semifinals, Brown trailed Reading's top-seeded Kayli Reyes, 9-2, before Reyes finished off the pin at 5:30.
Brown bounced back with an 11-4 win over Dover's Maleah Fetterly in the consolation semifinals.
In the third-place match, Lehighton's Alivia Reed pinned Brown in 3:13.
Stamile was 2-3 to finish sixth in the 100-pound bracket.
Stamile opened with a pin of York Suburban's My-Asia Pierce in 3:59 in the opening round, then lost by fall in the quarterfinals to Upper Dauphin's Cambrie Herb.
Stamile bounced back to pin Red Land's Keyani Jimenez in 4:06 in the blood round.
Stamile then lost in the consolation semifinals, and in the fifth-place match.
Sophomore Chaylynn Roloson was 0-2 at 142 pounds.
SATURDAYSenior Mikyah Brown logged Sayre's only win here Saturday at the Wyoming Valley West Girls Wrestling Tournament.
Brown was 1-2 in the 170-pound bracket.
After losing via fall in the opening round, Brown bounced bak with a pin of Milton's Tsei Meg Tsogaiskhan in 3:54.
Brown was eliminated via technical fall by Abington Heights' Hayden Manning in her next wrestleback match.
Freshman Isabella Stamile was 0-2 at 100 pounds, and sophomore Chaylynn Roloson was 0-2 in the 148-pound bracket.
