NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: TROY ROLLS TO BIG WIN OVER ATHENS (February 5, 2026)

ATHENS — Troy built a 13-point halftime cushion en route to a 45-19 win over Troy here Thursday night in NTL Large School Division girls basketball action.

The Trojans led 12-6 after the opening eight minutes, then used a 16- run in the second quarter to take a 25-12 lead into the halftime intermission.

Troy didn't slow down at all in the second half, outscoring Athens 9-2 in the third quarter to extend its lead to 34-14 heading in the final eight minutes.

Troy closed the game with an 11-5 spurt.

McKenna Jarvis led Athens with eight points, three rebounds and two steals, while senior Ava Hughes had five points and four rebonds, sophomore Alissa Vough had four points and 10 rebounds, and junior Megan Morgan added three boards.

Athens, now 9-11, returns to action Saturday at Wellsboro.
