NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: CANTON ROLLS TO BIG WIN OVER SAYRE (February 7, 2026)
Valley Sports ReportCANTON — Canton knocked down a trio of 3-pointers and raced out to an 18-point first-quarter lead on its way to a 60-7 win over Sayre here Saturday night in NTL Small School Division girls basketball action.
The Warriors led 19-1 after the first quarter, then used a 16-3 run to take a 35-4 lead at the half.
The Redskins' only points in the second quarter was a 3-pointer by sophomore McKenna Parrish, and their only points in the third quarter was a 3-pointer by senior Olivia Thompson.
Senior Rylee Lantz grabbed eight rebounds and blocked four shots for the Redskins, while Thompson had three points and five boards, and Parrish added three points and three rebounds.
Cailynn VanNoy led Canton when 19 points.
Sayre returns to action Monday when it hosts North Penn-Liberty.
