SECTION IV WINTER TRACK: WAVERLY COMPETES AT CLASS CHAMPIONSHPS (February 7, 2026)

ITHACA — Waverly's boys had a fifth-place relay finish, and senior Madison Cron had a sixth-place finish to pace the Lady Wolverines here Saturday afternoon at the Section IV Indoor Track & Field Class Championships at Cornell University.

The 800-meter relay team of seniors Logan Roskow and Andrew Larrabee, junior Jayden Washington, and freshman Ethan Reedy finished fifth in a time of 1:41.85.

Roskow, Washington, junior Chase Hine, and senior Hayden Howe teamed to place seventh in the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 3:53.14.

Junior Chase Hine was eighth in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:02.44, and junior Jayden Washington was 12th in 5:09.87.

Senior Aiden Doherty finished ninth in the shot put with a heave of 32-feet, 11-inches, and sophomore Isaac Voorhees was 17th at 28-feet, 1 1/2-inches.

Doherty was also ninth in the weight throw at 38-feet, 8 1/4-inches, and Voorhees was 14th at 24-feet, 4-inches.

Sophomore Connor Bentley finished 11th in the long jump with a mark of 17-feet, 1-inch, and sophomore Owen Fassett was 15th in 14:-feet, 11 1/4-inches.

Senior Hayden Howe finished 16th in the 300-meter dash in 40.85 seconds, and freshman Wyatt Chandler was 17th in 40.9 seconds.

Senior Andrew Larrabee was 17th in the 55-meter dash in 7.34 seconds, and freshman Ethan Reedy was 20th in 7.49 seconds.

Sophomore Garrett Akins was 17th in the 1,000-meter run in  2:23.79.

GIRLS
Cron was sixth in the weight throw at 23-feet, 9 3/4 inches, and Fassett was eighth in 22-feet, 4 1/4-inches.

Fassett finished 11th in the shot put with a mark of 24-feet, and Cron was 13th at 22-feet, 4 1/2-inches. 

Cron also finished 12th in the 55-meter dash in 8.66 seconds, and freshman Blake Norton was 19th in 9.93 seconds.

Senior Mackenzie Chamberlain finished seventh in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 11:59.57, and junior Taylor Sinsabaugh was 11th in 14:30.65.

Senior Haley Larrabee finished eighth in the 600-meter run in a time of 1:53.28.

Sophomore Gianna Soprano finished ninth in the 300-meter dash in 47.28 seconds.

Norton was 13th in the long jump.

Waverly returns to action Feb. 20 at the Section IV State Qualifier at Ithaca College.
