IAC BOWLING: TIOGA BOYS SWEEP NEWARK VALLEY; LADY TIGERS SETTLE FOR 2-2 TIE (February 11, 2026)

NEWARK VALLEY — The Tioga boys used a balanced attack to post a sweep of Newark Valley Tuesday afternoon, while the Lady Tigers salvaged a split in IAC bowling action here at Cardinal Lanes.

BOYS
Tioga 4, Newark Valley 0

Tioga won the first game 828-813, then followed it up with wins of 911-800- and 845-839 for a total-pinfall win of 2,584 to 2,452.

Austin Mumbulo led Tioga with a 565 series, while Charles Holmes shot a 549, and Nick Slater rolled a 546.

Kris Swagler had a 497, while Markel Watkins added a 402, and Aaron Belles tacked on a 391.

Devon Green led Newark Valley with a 667 series on games of 188, 235, and 244.

GIRLS
Tioga 2, Newark Valley 2

Tioga won a pair of close games in a 2-2 tie with the Cardinals.

The Tigers won the first game 790-786 and the third game 783-743, but Newark Valley won the second game 835-751 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,364 to 2,324.

Kelsey Helmich led Tioga with a 527, while Liberty Magner shot a 509, and Kelsey Ellis rolled a 490.

Kate Bleiler added a 416 for the Tigers, and Sabrina Ellis tacked on a 382.

Abigail Dufresne led Newark Valley with a 534 series, and Rachel Hartman added a 522.
