IAC BOYS BOWLING: HOLMES, SLATER LEAD TIOGA TO TEAM TITLE AT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS (February 14, 2026)
Valley Bowling CenterWAVERLY — Charles Holmes and Nick Slater came up just shy of rolling 700 series, and led Tioga to a team title at the IAC Boys Bowling Championships here Saturday at the Valley Bowling Center.
The Tigers rolled a three-game set of 2,982, and runner-up Lansing had 2,904. Newark Valley was third with 2,727 pins, while Watkins Glen was fourth at 2,696, and O-M was fifth at 2,462.
Holmes banged out a 696 series on games of 220., 233, and 243, while Slater shot a 692 series on games of 204, 209, and 279.
Austin Mumbulo rolled a 543, and Markel Watkins had a 519, including a 222, while Kris Swagler added games of 178 and 188, and Aaron Belles tacked on a 166 game.
Tioga will return to action Saturday morning at Section IV Championships at Midway Lanes in Vestal.
