DISTRICT 4 GIRLS WRESTLING: SAYRE DUO NOTCH WINS AT DISTRICTS (4 PHOTOS) (February 14, 2026)
Valley Sports ReportWILLIAMSPORT — Senior Mikyah Brown won a pair of matches, and freshman Isabella Stamile notched one win here Saturday at the District 4 Girls Wrestling Championships here at Williamsport High School.
Brown was 2-2 in the 155-pound bracket, matching her record at last year's tournament.
Brown, the ninth seed, began her day with a 7-4 decision over Shamokin's eighth-seeded Marion Ulrich, thanks to a six-point move midway through the first period, in the opening round.
In the quarterfinals, Brown lost via first-period fall to top-seeded Isabella Gotschall of Jersey Shore.
Brown bounced back in the consolation bracket with a pin of Line Mountain's Ambree Daniels in 2:53. She trailed 6-1 before taking Daniels directly to her back for a fall.
Brown's day ended via first-period fall against Shikellamy's Danielle Bottler.
Brown ends her season with a 14-12 record.
Stamile was 1-2 in the 100-pound bracket, with her lone win a pin of Milton's Grace Holmes in 2:05 in her first wrestleback match.
Stamile opened her day with a 21-4 technical fall loss to fourth-seeded Melania Comfort of Williamsport, who went on to win the tournament.
