DISTRICT 4 WRESTLING: SAYRE'S BROWN KNOCKED INTO CONSOLATION BRACKET AT CLASS AA CHAMPIONSHIPS (8 PHOTOS) (February 20, 2025)

WILLIAMSPORT — Sayre junior Jordan Brown was knocked into the consolation bracket of the District 4, Class AA Wrestling Championships here Friday evening at Williamsport High School.

Seeded third in the 172-pound bracket, Brown lost a 19-4 technical fall to sixth-seeded Nolan Savage of Line Mountain.

Savage pushed the pace from the outset and led 3-1 after the first period.

He dominated the second period with three takedowns to take a 13-3 lead into the final two minutes.

Savage scored two more takedowns early in the third period to close out the technical fall at 4:32.

Brown will take on 12th-seed Caius Morrow of Southern Columbia Saturday morning.

Day 2 action begins at 9 a.m.
