DISTRICT 4 BOYS SWIMMING: PETTITT, HICKS LEAD ATHENS IN DAY 1 OF DISTRICTS (February 25, 2026)
Valley Sports ReportWILLIAMSPORT — Junior Brayden Pettitt and Eli Hicks each recorded a pair of second-place finishes to help Athens to third place here Wednesday night after Day 1 of the District 4, Class AA Boys Swimming Championships at Williamsport High School.
Bloomsburg leads the team standings with 170 points, while Danville is second with 158 points, Athens has 157 points, Central Columbia is in fourth place with 128 points, and Mifflinburg is in fifth place with 127 points.
Pettitt placed second in the 200-yard IM in a school-record time of 1:57.87, and senior Ty Lezak was sixth in 2:21.16.
Hicks placed second in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 22.2 seconds, and freshman Shayan Ankam was ninth in 25.05 seconds.
Pettitt and Hicks teamed with junior Dominic Musick and Jacob Shores to finish second in the 200-yard freestyle relay in a school-record time of 1:31.1.
Junior Jacob Shores placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:55.71, while junior Matt Rossettie was 11th in 2:08.24, and junior Austin Quattrini was 13th in 2:09.45.
The foursome of Musick, Ankam, Leak and Rossettie placed fourth in the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:53.37.
Musick finished seventh in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 59.42 seconds.
Day 2 action begins Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
