THE VALLEY — The postseason rolls on Tuesday night with Waverly hitting the road for Maine-Endwell and a Section IV, Class A semi-final match-up.

Section IV Playoffs
Class A Semifinals
Waverly (9-11) at Maine-Endwell (15-4), 6 p.m.:
The Wolverines are coming off a 57-45 win over Owego in the quarterfinals Friday, while the Spartans have been off since a 61-47 loss to Susquehanna Valley in the STAC semifinals 12 days ago.

The Wolverines were 2-6 on the road this season, including the win at Owego in Class A quarterfinals, while the Spartans were 10-0 at home this season.

Ten of Waverly's 11 losses this season came against teams in the postseason, including eight of those loss against teams still alive in the playoffs.

Two Wolverines losses — both by three points — came against Class AAA top seed Elmira (9-10), and two came against Class B 2-seed Chenango Forks (14-7), and one each to Class AA top seed Horseheads (16-3), Class B top seed Susquehanna Valley (19-1), Class B 3-seed Norwich (15-2), Baldwinsville (16-3) in Section III, Class 3A semifinals.

Waverly also to Troy (20-4), which was the 2-seed in the District 4, Class 3A playoffs, Owego (12-9) Class A 4-seed, and Oneonta (4-15).

Maine-Endwell's losses came to Class A top seed Susquehanna Valley (19-1), Class AA top seed Horseheads (16-3), Class A 2-seed Johnson City (10-8), and Class AA 3-seed Union-Endicott (10-9).

Maine-Endwell lost, 48-43, to Johnson City, but avenged the loss 19 days later with and 84-41 win. 

M-E beat U-E at home, 60-48, but lost a month later at U-E, 68-56.
