NEW YORK STATE INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: TIOGA'S ALBRECHT FINISHES NINTH AT STATES IN POLE VAULT(March 7, 2026) Valley Sports Report STATEN ISLAND — Tioga senior Gavin Albrecht finished ninth in the pole vault here Saturday at the New York State Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Complex.
Albrecht cleared the bar at 14-0, well of the winning height of 16-feet, 8-inches by Warwick Valley's Luke Beattie.
The Indoor Championships are not divided by class, so athletes from all school sizes are competing for one gold medal.
Albrecht, who was the Division C (small schools) gold medalist was the top vaulter among small school competitors.
