NTL SOFTBALL: SAYRE FALLS AT WILLIAMSON, 11-1 (20 PHOTOS) (March 26, 2026)
Valley Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION, Pa. — Jocelyn Colegrove homered twice and drove in six runs to lead Williamson to an 11-1 five-inning win over Sayre in NTL Small School softball action here Thursday afternoon.
The Warriors took a 3-0 lead in the home half of the first inning on back-to-back home runs — a two-run shot by Kenna Thomas and a solo blast by Colegrove.
After Thomas pitched around a walk and a single by Sayre junior Zoe Ward in the top the second, Mother Nature made an appearance and the game was delayed 40 minutes by rain.
Once play resumed, Williamson loaded the bases with a two-out single, a hit batter, and an error to set the stage for a grand slam by Colegrove to make it 7-0. Colegrove now had three home runs and 11 RBI in the first two games of the season.
The Warriors added four more runs in the third inning to take an 11-0 lead
The Redskins plated a run in the top of the fifth inning on an error.
Ward and senior Mikyah Brown accounted for Sayre's two hits.
Thomas earned the win for Williamson, allowing one unearned run on two hits, with eight strikeouts and three walks.
Sayre, now 0-2, returns to action Saturday afternoon at Wellsboro.
