NTL BASEBALL: WELLSBORO SCORES A DOZEN IN THIRD TO MAKE SHORT WORK OF SAYRE (April 9, 2026)

SAYRE — Wellsboro scored a dozen runs in the top of the third inning to record a three-inning 15-0 win over Sayre in NTL baseball action here Thursday.

Leading, 3-0, the visitors opened the third inning with a home run from Coen Tennis.

The Green Hornets followed up with five singles, three walks, two errors and one hit batter before the Redskins could record an out, making the score 12-0.

Wellsboro added a run-scoring ground out, a sacrifice fly and an RBI single to push its advantage to 15-0.

Shaine Strickland singled with two away in the bottom of the inning and Blake Zingesser followed with a walk, but Sayre was unable to push a run across to extend the game.

Strickland accounted for both Redskin hits while Zingesser and Tucker Green reached base safely one time each.
