JV BOYS BASKETBALL: WAVERLY WINS ELMIRA REFEREE'S TOURNAMENT (April 13, 2026)

ELMIRA — The Waverly junior varsity boys basketball team recently went 4-0 to win the Elmira Referee's Freshman Tournament.

Waverly opened with a convincing 82-28 win over Newfield, then thumped Horseheads, 56-24.

In the winner's bracket finals, Waverly topped Elmira, 71-61.

Elmira won the consolation bracket finals to earn a rematch, but Waverly won again, 73-62, in the championship game.
