STAC TRACK & FIELD: STORMS CUT WAVERLY TRI-MEET SHORT (24 PHOTOS) (April 14, 2026)

Valley Sports Report
WAVERLY — Thunderstorms wiped out a majority of Tuesday's STAC track & field tri-meet here, but Waverly did earn more than a handful of top-three finishes.

GIRLS 
The lone win of the day for the Wolverines went to seniors Haley Larrabee and Kaitlyn Sutton and sophomores Gianna Soprano and Kaylin Twedt, who teamed to win the 400-meter relay in a time of 51.91 seconds.

Sophomore Kendall Rockwell finished second in the high jump at 4-feet, 6-inches.

Eighth-grader Kezlyn DeKay finished second in the 100-meter hurdles in a time 18.68 seconds, and 8th-grader Brynna Twedt was fifth in 20.37 seconds.

Kaylin Twedt finished third in the 100-meter dash in a time 13.02 seconds, and Sutton was fourth in 13.49 seconds.

BOYS
Jaxon Chandler finished third in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 17.82 seconds.

Andrew Larrabee, Rhylee Stotler, Jesse Lantz, and Chase Wheeler teamed to finish second in the 400-meter relay in a time of 46.29 seconds.

Chase Hine, James Cole, Garret Akins, and Hayden Montanye teamed to place third in the 3,200-meter relay in a time of 9:36.1.

Connor Bentley finished sixth in the 100-meter dash in 12.69 seconds, and Ethan Reedy was seventh in 12.88 seconds.

Chase Hine finished seventh in 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:04.78.

Carson Rockwell finished eighth in the shot put with a heave of 32-feet, 1/4-inch.

Waverly returns to action Saturday at the Square Deal Invite at Johnson City High School.
