NTL BOYS TRACK & FIELD: MORLEY, WANCK, PERSUN PACE ATHENS; WILDCATS SPLIT PAIR OF DECISIONS (18 PHOTOS) (April 15, 2026)
Valley Sports ReportATHENS — Juniors Ryder Morley, Graham Wanck, and Lucas Persun were double-winners, but Athens dropped an 82-68 decision to Wyalusing, while topping Towanda, 68-39, here Wednesday afternoon in NTL Boys Track & Field action at Alumni Stadium.
Morley won the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.62 seconds, while junior Brayden Westbrook was third in 12.06 seconds, and junior Chris Moore was fourth in 12.27 seconds.
Morley also won the 200-meter dash in 23.79 seconds.
Graham Wanck won the 1,600-meter run in a time of 4:53.97, while junior Lucas Persun was second in 4:57.15, junior Matt Rossettie was third at 5:00.82, and junior Alex Arcesi was fourth in 5:01.11.
Graham Wanck finished second in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:05.25, and Rossettie was third in 2:16.21.
Persun won the 3,200-meter run in a time of 11:23.76, while Arcesi was second in 11:35.6, and junior Corbin Smith was third in 13:23.7.
Graham Wanck, Persun and Rossettie teamed with senior Parker Wanck to win the 3,200-meter relay in a time of 9:38.13.
Westbrook won the 400-meter dash in a time of 56.11 seconds, and junior Holden McKeever was fourth in 58.09 seconds.
Freshman Gavin Ross won the high jump at 5-feet, 6-inches.
McKeever won the pole vault, clearing the bar at 9-feet.
Freshman Avery Gorsline finished second in the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 45.38 seconds, and freshman Shayan Ankam was fourth in 48.14 seconds.
Freshman Cy Yeager placed third in the long jump with a leap of 18-feet, 1-inch, and freshman Iziah Bailey was fourth at 17-feet, 10-inches.
Yeager finished forth in the triple jump with a mark of 34-feet, 1-inch.
Ankam finished fourth in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 19.17 seconds.
Junior Zach Fisher placed fourth in the javelin with a throw of 125-feet.
Athens, now 7-2, return to action Tuesday when it hosts NEB, Troy, and Williamson.
