IAC BASEBALL: SCHUYLER TOPS TIOGA, 11-1 (April 16, 2026)Valley Sports ReportWATKINS GLEN — Tioga took the early lead, but couldn't light up the scoreboard again in an 11-1 six-inning loss to Schuyler here Thursday night in IAC Large School baseball action.
Josh Rought stroked a two-out single in the top of the first inning, and scored on an RBI single by Cooper Dember to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead on their only two hits of the game.
The Storm, now 5-1, answered with three runs in the bottom of the first inning, and added two more in the second to take a 5-1 lead.
Schuyler led 9-1 after five innings, and closed the game out via the 10-run rule with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Blake Thomas earned the win for the Storm, allowing one run on two hits, while striking out six and walking one.
Tioga, now 2-4, returns to action Friday at Newfield.
