NTL BASEBALL: LOYALSOCK RIDES BIG INNING IN 17-2 WIN OVER SAYRE (April 16, 2026)

Valley Sports Report
LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP — Loyalsock poured 11 runs across the plate in the bottom of the first inning, and cruised to a 17-2 three-inning win over Sayre here Thursday afternoon in non-league baseball action.

The Lancers tacked on four runs in the second inning to extend the lead to 15-0.

In the top of the third, the Redskins took advantage of three base on balls, including a bases-loaded free pass to sophomore Riley McGaughey, an error and a wild pitch to score two runs.

Loyalsock plated two runs in the home half of the third to end the game via the 15-run, three-inning mercy rule.

Shaine Strickland singled and scored one run, and Tanner Green doubled to account for Sayre's two hits, while Kyshon Kole scored one run, and McGaughey drove in one run.

Sayre, now 1-9, returns to action Monday at Wyalusing.
