IAC TRACK & FIELD: ALBRECHT, BENNETT DOUBLE-WINNERS, ROSSI BREAKS SCHOOL RECORD; TIOGA FINISHES SECOND AT ITS 'TWISTED RELAYS' (April 18, 2026)
Valley Sports ReportTIOGA CENTER — Senior Gavin Albrecht and sophomore Amber Bennett were double-winners, and sophomore Vida Rossi broke her own school record in the long jump to highlight Tioga's efforts here Saturday at its "Twisted Track & Field Relays" at Haggerty Field.
The Tigers won three events, and finished second in seven others.
Newfield won the team title with 193 points, while Tioga was second with 122 and S-VE was third with 104 points.
Rossi broke her own school record in long jump with leap of 17-feet, 10-inches as part of a second-place finish with senior Dominic Palmer (16-feet, 8 3/4-inches). The duo had a combined leap of 34-feet, 6 3/4-inches.
Rossi (12.5 seconds) and Gavin Albrecht (11.0) won the 100-meter dash in a combined time of 23.5 seconds.
Albrecht (13-feet) and Bennett (6-feet, 6-inches) won the pole vault with a combined vault of 19-feet, 6-inches.
Bennett (1:18.1) and senior James Miller (1:01.2) finished first in the 400-meter hurdles in a combined time of 2:19.3.
Miller (55.3 seconds) and freshman Natalie Kemp (1:09.4) placed second in the 400-meter dash in a combined time of 2:04.7.
Palmer (16.9 seconds) and junior Sadie Marshall (18.7) finished second in the 100- / 110-meter hurdles with a combined time of 35.6 seconds.
The foursome of Albrecht, Miller, Kemp and Rossi finished second in the mixed 4-by-200 in a time of 1:45.6.
The foursome of Palmer, Albrecht, freshman Grace Howey and Rossi placed second in the mixed 4-by-100 in a time of 49.1 seconds.
Freshman Reese Mills (12:57.6) and senior Talon Wood (11:37.6) finished second in the 3,000 / 3,200-meter run in a combined time of 24:35.2.
Junior Markel Watkins (105-feet, 6-inches) and junior Kendall Ward (68-feet, 9-inches) finished second in the discus with a combined toss of 172-feet, 3-inches, while junior Bailey Rugh (87-feet, 7-inches) and junior Sarah Prough (67-feet, 4-inches) were fourth with a combined toss of 154-feet, 11-inches.
Watkins (36-feet, 9-inches) and Prough (21-feet, 5-inches) finished third in the discus with a combined throw ow 58-feet, 2-inches, while Rugh (34-feet, 8-inches) and Ward (21-feet, 10-inches) finished fourth with a combined throw of 56-feet, 6-inches.
The foursome of Kemp, Bennett, Miller, and Palmer finished third in the mixed 4-by-400 relay in a time of 4:31.1.
Howey (28.7 seconds) and Shane Spiegel (29.4) finished fourth in the 200-meter dash in a combined time of 58.1 seconds.
Marshall (4-feet, 2-inches) and Wood (5-feet, 2-inches) finished fourth in the high jump With a combined mark of 9-feet, 4-inches.
Wood (33-feet, 10-inches) and Bennett (26-feet, 1-inch) finished fourth in the triple jump With a combined mark of 59-feet, 11-inches.
Junior Caden Rapp (2:29.9) and freshman Carolina Rapp (3:16.5) combined to finish fourth in the 800-meter run in a time of 5:46.4.
