YOUTH BASKETBALL: RED WAVE GIRLS WIN 10TH-GRADE TITLE AT ATHENS' ALL-OR-NOTHING TOURNAMENT (April 20, 2026)

ATHENS — The Red Wave, based in Waverly, posted a 3-0 record to win the 10th-grade team title here Saturday at the All-or-Nothing Tournament.

The Red Wave opened the day with a 43-19 win over NT Force, then beat the BG Girls, 43-20.

The Red Wave finished off the day with a 56-23 win over Southern Tier Rage-Lindsey.

"While the result is something to celebrate, what stood out even more was their effort, teamwork, and resilience throughout the tournament," said Red Wave coach Toby Foster.

"They truly deserve all the credit for this success,"he noted. "Their commitment to improving, supporting one another, and competing the right way continues to show every time they step on the court. 

"It was a great day of basketball and I couldn’t be more proud of this group," added Foster.

The Red Wave is comprised of Waverly's Kaylin Twedt, Kendall Rockwell, Kezlynn DeKay, Addison Foster, Raygane Oakes, and Isabella McEwen, Horseheads' Aubri Houck, Candor's Morgan Eiklor, and Tioga's Irie Lynch.
