SECTION IV GIRLS GOLF: HUNT LEADS WAVERLY TO WIN OVER HORSEHEADS (April 23, 2026)

WAVERLY — Waverly's Addison Hunt and Horseheads' Jemma Rockwell shared low-medal honors, but the Wolverines used superior depth to pull out a 206-215 win here Thursday afternoon in STAC girls golf at Tomasso's Golf Course.

Hunt and Rockwell each shot 46s, while Waverly's Sophia Sileo carded a 48, and Emilia Mitchell added a 54.

Olivia Cheresnowsky and Adrianna Presher both shot rounds of 58 for Waverly, and Alaina Nichols tacked on a non-scoring round of 59.

Lydia Rockwell added a 51 for the Blue Raiders, and Ellie Padgett tacked on a 58.

Waverly, now 6-2, returns to action Monday at the Corning Country Club against O-M, Horseheads, and Corning.
