NTL SOFTBALL: ERRORS COSTLY IN ATHENS' 4-0 SETBACK AT WYALUSING (8 PHOTOS) (April 23, 2026)

WYALUSING — Errors proved costly for Athens as Wyalusing avenged an early-season loss with a 4-0 win here Thursday afternoon in NTL softball action.

The Wildcats committed six errors, resulting in four unearned runs.

The Rams scored on a two-out wild pitch in the bottom of the second inning to take a 1-0 lead, then benefitted from two Wildcat errors in the fifth inning to plate two runs to extend the lead to 3-0.

Wyalusing added an insurance run in the sixth inning on two Athens miscues.

Addison Fluck scattered six hits in seven inning to earn the win for the Rams. She fanned eight and walked none.

Junior Gretchan Hiley was tagged with the loss, allowing four unearned runs on three hits in six innings. She fanned 13 and walked one.

Senior Savannah Finan singled twice, while Gretchan Hiley, sophomore Memphis Paul, freshman Mya Allen, and senior Danica May each added one hit to account for the Wildcats' six hits.
