COLLEGE FLAG FOOTBALL: WAVERLY GRADS ROBINSON, LAFOREST HELP D'YOUVILLE TO FIRST WIN IN PROGRAM HISTORY (April 24, 2026)

BUFFALO — Waverly grad Paige Robinson, a freshman on the D'Youville flag football team, led the Saints to the first win in program history — a 27-7 win over Daemen University here at Dobson Field.

Fellow Waverly grad Mackenzie LaForest, a sophomore at D'Youville, was also a contributor in the win.

Robinson's 1-yard TD run midway through the first quarter gave D'Youville an early 6-0 lead.

Early in the second quarter, Robinson tossed a 21-yard TD — the first of her career — to Alexis Brua. Robinson's pass on the conversion was good for two points to make it 14-0.

For the game, Robinson completed 8 of 19 passes for 84 yards and one TD, with one interception. She also rushed six times for 15 yards nd one TD. Defensively, Robinson had one flag pull.

LaForest had two receptions for 12 yards. She also three flag pulls and one fumble recovery on defense.

In five games (no stats for three of the games), Robinson has completed 54.6 percent (65 of 119) of her passes for 532 yards and one TD, with six interceptions. She has rushed for 279 yards and six TDs on 85 carries.

She also ran for three scores (not included in season stats) in a 27-20 loss at Bryant & Stratton, and had a 60-yard TD run (also not in stats) in a 36-14 loss to Bryant & Stratton.

Defensively, she has 14 flag pulls, four fumble recoveries, two interceptions, and three pass break-ups.

In a loss to Hartwick, Robinson completed 15 of 25 passes for 155 yards, and also ran for 116 yards and three TDs on 22 carries.

Earlier in the season, Robinson rushed for 110 yards and one TD in a loss to Geneseo.

Laforest has 19 receptions for 133 yards this season, and is 1-for-1 for 20 yards on her only pass attempt.

Defensively, she has 13 flag pulls, one tackle-for-loss, and one QB sack.

D'Youville, now 1-7, wraps up its season Sunday with a doubleheader at Villa Maria College in Williamsville, N.Y.
